1. Introduction

These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and VDR Tech Limited, a Limited Liability Company registered in the United Arab Emirates under Registration No. MC 14332, with its registered office at Smart Station, First Floor, Incubator Building, Masdar City, Abu Dhabi, UAE ("VDR Tech", "we", "us").

These Terms govern your access to and use of the Aman platform, including the web dashboard, mobile applications, APIs, and all related services (collectively, the "Service").

2. Description of Service

Aman is a digital safety platform that enables:

  • Schools and school groups: Centralized network-level content filtering, AI-powered safety monitoring, compliance reporting, and administrative controls.
  • Parents and families: Parental visibility into children's digital activity and safety alerts via the Parent Bridge included with every school subscription.

3. Eligibility and Account Registration

  • You must be at least 18 years of age to create an Aman account.
  • If registering on behalf of a school, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
  • You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Subscription Plans and Payment

  • Aman offers tiered subscription plans with varying feature sets as described on our pricing page.
  • Paid plans are billed in advance in AED (UAE Dirhams).
  • All prices are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated. UAE VAT at the prevailing rate will be applied where applicable.
  • We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' written notice.

5. Consent and Device Enrollment

  • You may only enroll devices that you own or have legal authority to manage.
  • School administrators must ensure they have obtained appropriate consent from parents before enrolling student-owned devices, in compliance with ADEK and KHDA guidelines.
  • Parents must be the legal parent or guardian of the child whose device they enroll.
  • You are responsible for informing all device users about Aman's monitoring capabilities.

6. AI Safety Features

  • Aman uses artificial intelligence to analyse content for safety purposes, including detection of harmful content, cyberbullying, self-harm indicators, and predatory behaviour.
  • AI analysis is designed to assist, not replace, human judgement.
  • VDR Tech does not guarantee that AI analysis will detect all safety threats or that all alerts will be accurate.
  • AI-generated analysis is processed on infrastructure controlled by VDR Tech and is not shared with third-party AI providers.

7. Intellectual Property

  • The Aman platform is the intellectual property of VDR Tech Limited, protected by UAE Federal Law No. 38 of 2021 on Copyrights and Related Rights.
  • Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service.
  • You retain ownership of your data.

8. Service Availability

  • We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
  • Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance where practicable.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • To the maximum extent permitted by UAE law, VDR Tech shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
  • Total aggregate liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim.
  • VDR Tech is not liable for decisions made based on AI-generated safety alerts.

10. Suspension and Termination

  • We may suspend your access if you violate these Terms or applicable law.
  • You may terminate your account at any time by contacting [email protected].
  • You may request export of your data within 30 days of termination.

11. Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
  • Disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Abu Dhabi.
